The Illumicube, a piece of public art near the Canberra Centre on the Mt Ainslie side. It illuminates in response to touch and goes through a series of colour changes. When it was located over near London Circuit it had sensors which changed the colour in response to sound. You can imagine how the residents felt about that as cars would blast their horns while driving past to make the pretty colours change. By day it looks like just a big glass cube. If you happen to be there between 4:30 and 5:00 in the morning, though... WHAT was I doing getting out of bed at 4 in the morning to take photos?
Ah, now I recall; the previous night when I was trying to take them I was sidetracked by having to try to explain to a slightly inebriated yobette how touching the cube made the lights go on. She's convinced that I have some kind of magic touch which triggers it. I decline to speculate on that possibility.
The EXIF information is for the first image in the sequence; the exposure time varied slightly over the course of the series. The date and time is actually the time that I created the composite image; the real shots were taken between 04:53 and 04:55 this morning.
