Another bargain 'find' to add to my collection of 1950-1960 era
rangefinders from The Royal Camera Co. Ltd of Japan. This is a 'twin'
to the Royal 35-M already in this gallery. The body is the same as
the non-metered versions (like my Hanimex C-35) except of course
for the inclusion of the meter. The lens is quite lovely - a Tomioka Opt. Co.
Tominon C ƒ1.9 45mm in a Copal shutter. (From my research, I believe Tominon
was also Yashinon (Yashica) and the Tominor lenses in the Hanimex C35
are perhaps the Yashikor. I'd like someone to confirm this for me.)
As far as I can see, i need to find the Ogikon 35E (Deluxe) c.1957, the Torca c1957, and the Luxall c.1957
to complete the Royal Camera Co. rangefinder collection. Please let me know if you ever happen to see one!
