Tradition

Everywhere is full of Chrysanthemums of every colour and size.
I had no idea why until I found a sign on a Supermarket door.
Instead of celebrating Halloween the people of Brittany choose
the Christian celebration of All Saints Day (Nov 1st) and All Souls Day (Nov 2nd) with masses of beautiful flowers.
Much better than scary masks!

How nice. We don't celebrate those holidays, and I had no idea the Brittany celebrates them with masses of flowers. I like to learn something new. :) V

A beautiful image. And you´re right. Halloween may be for the young. I´m not grown up with and I don´t miss it. v

And here in Pézenas in the south-east, I think it's tradition throughout France.

Wonderful flowers, I had several of these in the garden, however the last weeks weather finished them off.
