Monarda bradburiana
(Eastern Burgamot)

Home

Eastern Burgamot (Eastern Bee Balm) is a perennial
in the Mint Family. The delicate terminal blooms
at 12"-24" tall are usually a dead give-away for
this plant. The bracts are usually tinged with a
purple/maroon coloration. The lavender to white
two-lipped corolla is dotted with purple spots. It
can be found blooming (mainly in the Western High-
land Rim) from May-June in open woods and thickets.
