Thymus caespititius

Creeping Thyme makes a beautiful scented low (less than 2") groundcover. Planted around these natural stones in a pathway it projects fingers onto the rocks and releases a wonderful scent when feet brush across the leaves. (USDA Zones 4-9)

The rock makes a very good contrasting background against the green and the shadows are an extra bonus.
