Goal achieved in the early hours of the last morning.
I have been trying to catch these at their prime in
the Smokies for several years now. This year, I was
starting to think the weather was going to shut me out
another year. The anticipation of one last opportunity
had me feeling like a child on Christmas morning as I
saw the clear skies and began my hike to find them on
this beautiful brisk morning in the Smoky Mountains!
