In search of more Spring perennials with Ellie. A few finds.
This is a biennial usually found in moist woodlands or along
the banks of streams, creeks or rivers. Distinguished by a
rather large (3") deeply lobed pinnately-divided leaves on its
spreading pubescent stems. The lavender to purple flower are
in the form of terminal cymes composed of bowl-shaped flowers
with pubescent stamens extending out beyond the corolla. It is
found blooming from April to May in Mid and East Tennessee.
