Got the grill out after church, fired it up, grabbed
the handle and let the top back down and this little
spider ran up my arm. I jumped! At first I thought
it was a Black Widow from the color and marking. I
then saw that it was not an hour glass. Whew... :-)

If that was in Australia I'd say you were lucky.. Our Red Back spiders are very poisonous and love dark places like under the toilet seat..I know two people who have found that out the hard way LOL..

Great shot!
It does look poisonous though. Very much like our Redback.

Looks like it would make a widow of any female spider !
Luckily your Canon is a deadly tool :)

Bejeesus! That would make me need a clean pair of underwear!!! Up your arm? I'd have chopped my arm off before asking questions....saying that, it's a brilliant photo Scott, lots of detail and colour...and a great composition...V

Yikes, pleased its to cold in England for spiders this big, venemous or not.

I, too, thought it was a black widow. Strange, the black widow has the hour glass and the recluse has the violin. Wonderful colors and detail.
