Hesta and the last two reindeer in Kotzebue were headed for the Mat-Su Valley, courtesy of Alaska Airlines. The Icelandic horses remaining in the NW Arctic Borough are all at Ed Iten's, about 30 miles outside of town. I think there are 8 horses. The remaining reindeer have gone feral and are mixed up with the caribou.
