I was at HOS in Zenica and suddenly they were all leaving for a dzenazija, a funeral for a Muslim member of the unit who had been killed at Bosanski Brod. They invited us to come and we piled as many people as we could into my VW Golf. Then one more guy showed up. We told him there wasn't room, but he insisted that he was the brother of the fallen soldier. I couldn't turn that down, so we made room. With me was Reijo, the Finnish reporter I often worked with, and Cy Macintosh, a Scottish mercenary who'd hooked up with us for the ride. Hrastovec was about 14 km from Zenica, high in the hills. In the photo Cy walks the last km into town.
