Small Bloom

This is a Hazelnut flower.
It is about the size of a pencil point,
tiny enough to not notice unless you were looking.
The only reason I did is because my
neighbor Sue pointed them out to me.
When the Hazelnuts ripen the
Steller Jay's steal most of them.
It’s the only thing they do quietly
and signals it’s time to pick
some if I want any.

I love the flowers of hazel shrubs and always look out for them when spring finally warms up. V

I don't know anything about flowers, gut this is a nicely done macro. V.

An extraordinary flower which you've macroed (is that a word) very nicely V
PS the Steller Jay has been made BC's bird - the greediest bird on the block :(
