27th January

Following the removal of the Co-Worker recently,
the Community Council have now set their sights on the 2 other wrecks,(both below)
a few years ago there was a burnt out car dumped at Ettrick,
it was there for MONTHS before it finally got removed and yet it only took DAYS to remove the wreck!!

as soon as the wrecks get removed, what will be next on their list,
the old pier(this pic!) out at the Port?
I said i would carry on PaD, can you at least leave me something to take photos of!?

right, moan over.(you were warned a few days ago!)
my replacement lens finally arrived this morning,
I cant believe how much i missed that lens, I took 211 photos today with it :D

To be serious. The Co-Worker had a bit of romance about her. These other two are really nothing but eyesores.

When I first saw it I thought it was the Scottish version of Stonehenge- then again I didn't have my glasses on! Ha ha!

I like the light on the wood and the colors of the wood. The mountains balance this photo nicely.

I would like the town of Bute's commissioners to visit New Orleans for just one week with full authority to remove wrecks!

How will the birds cope if the pier goes? Love this shot Zak, its a beauty!

You need to chain yourself to it...during low tide of course !!

Oh, no! I have got to come over soon! Missing the wreck was bad enough, but there's not nearly enough old piers in the world!

You went wild w/that replacement lens. Good show. Somehow I suspect you don't need to be a wreck about the lack of wrecks.... you have a sharp eye.

glad you have your new lens! That pier is very photogenic - bound to be on the Council's list! ;-)

I have never been to the Bute. I will need to come soon before I is too late. Hope to see you and camera sometime.

You have good reason to moan!

Lucky you have some much documented of the island- it is good to have the history. Be careful, you will an other year older next month- they may decide you are getting too old and try to have you removed ;-)

These wrecks are very Sad. Especially the Cat. You can always try having a look up the very back of the boatyard for new subject matter Zak. quite a few "white elephants".
