19th February

When i was younger i always wanted a wee Mini,
One of the original ones, not the german crap that they sell with its name attached to now.

This one needs abit of TLC
although the black sticky tape holding the front wings on is an interesting feature heheh

Being the family taxi driver buying an old Mini wont be much use right now,
but i'll maybe buy one in a few years as a weekend toy though. :-)

I want one of these, too! I used to watch "Junkyard Wars," the BBC version, and they were always cutting the poor little Minis up.

For a couple of years now I've fancied an original mini cooper, candy-apple red, from the original john cooper works. The only thing that's stopping me is that getting a motorbike would be safer!

Used to like watching the rallying on a Saturday afternoon when I was a kid.
Lots of minis were used in that.
When I was old enough to drive got interested in bikes so never got a mini.

cool shot, the old minis are definitely better! I like the way
this one is accessorised by matching red shed.

How do you get two whales in a mini? Down the M6!!! Sort of works better in the pub with a couple of beers!!!

I always wanted a mini too...still do. I like the new ones but these hot, loud, close to the ground oldies are tops !!

Nice composition. My first car was a Mini (MHE 685F - 1968 - blue) Okay is shows my age a bit but it's the only number plate I've ever remembered!

Nostalgy....

Buy it now, Zak. It won't cost much. Rebuilding it will be a very cathartic experience. I've always wanted one of these too. About the BMW Mini - it is actually built in Coventry - so it is British (but I don't like it - it's too big!)

Cool shot. I agree with you - the old Mini is an icon. But I quite like the new one too.

I'll try an balance things :) They're two different cars, sharing a name and not much else. Both pretty good in their time, but I think the interior and dash of the new one would become a bit irrtating if seen every day.

Yeah I much prefer the old minis myself, they're super cool!!
