17th April

it's Scalpsie that's usually well known for sightings of seals but now Ettrick has 1 too.

The kids of Achievement Bute, a local organisation for children
have made a seal and a point about the amount of rubbish we generate out of rubbish they collected off of the beach.

it's been nailed down too so if you're passing, have a look...

I saw the start while staying with my daughter and family and now the finished article - brilliant well done!! I hadn't realised Ettrick Bay had so much rubbish.

that is just really great

A lot of the litter comes from commercial vessels, fishing boats and the like, as well as day trippers.

Very interesting and the children will remember this all of their lives.

I think that nailing down that poor seal is a bit cruel.

I thought seals were born singly, not in litters.

Attention grabbing. Scary amount of litter though. V
