I think they're Alpaca's too, and grown for their fur, wool, coat, whatever it is called. I once had an alpaca sweater. I think llamas have longer necks.
No, Jenny Faa, I don't eat the little lambs either, or rabbits, since I now have a pet rabbit.

I think there Alpaca's,llamas are much larger,heaver.

They fancy themselves, don't they? I'd love to know the economics of llama-farming on Bute. There's not a leg of llama to be had in the butchers as far as I know.
