This is a new rose (new release in Australia) from the David Austin nursery
its only in its 3rd year in my rose garden so early days yet. Seems to be
a very nice rose with a fairly typical Austin sprawl. Sorry, forgot to
give it a sniff! I should have remembered to do that, they always exude the
best scent in the early morning.

One of my favourite modern roses...
Its called "Great News" which isn't a great name, but I love the mulberry tones (blends nicely with Veilchenblau) and shape of the rose. It's always in bloom, but the bush is quite low to the ground with a bit of a spread.

Tipsy Imperial Concubine
This old rose has a fascinating name.
It's a new arrival in my garden and this is the very first
rosebud - no fault of the rose, the poor thing got burnt by
Dick not measuring the wetting agent when he sprayed
the roses with fungicide back in our spring. I'm
very pleased with its recovery and looking forward
to seeing this bud open.
