Sally, I live in Australia. We can leave them out in the ground all year and they thrive like a weed. Hopefully someone who lives in a similar climate to you can answer your question...

Blue Plumbago is my favorite flowering plant since last summer when I brought one home from the local green house here in Pine City. It's flowers were very sticky but the prettiest color of blue I have ever seen. I wanted to bring the plant indoors for the winter but It had only two long branches that stuck straight out which was great on my deck but I cut them off for indoors, and I think I may have cut them back too far, because all that grew back were some week looking branches that I don't think are the real thing. I'm not sure. Maybe this spring they will strengthen and flower again. I hope. Any helpful suggestions?
