Shavers Creek and Laurence J. Perez lake are situated around 10 miles from State College. Whipple Dam is about 2 miles from Shavers Creek. Spring Creek is closer to State College and is a great place to spend lazy Sunday afternoons.

Bald Eagle State Park is a Pennsylvania State Park on 5,900 acres in Centre County, Pennsylvania.
The park includes the Joseph Foster Sayers Reservoir, formed by damming Bald Eagle Creek and other
smaller streams and covering 1,730 acres. Bald Eagle State Park is at the meeting point of two
distinct geologic features. The Allegheny Plateau is to the north and the Ridge and Valley area of
Pennsylvania is to the south.

Walnut Springs Park, is a small park at the end of Westerly Parkway in State College. It is a great neighborhood to live in.

State College is a small town in Center County in Central Pennsylvania. It is home to one of the largest universities in the US, the Pennsylvania State University. State College is accessible by plane via Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cincinatti or D.C. It is also a few miles off I-80 on US 322. It will serve as a great base to explore Central Pennsylvania.

hmm never heard of tis place but you took some amazing scenes, the colors were spectacular :)
I'm Eastern PA but we are thinking to go to Central PA for a week in 2 weeks for a vacation trip.
