Slihot סליחות

The days before Yom Kippur are dedicated to praying the Slihot (Forgiveness) and performing the Caparot ceremony. I spent a night in Jerusalem at the end of September 2004, documenting this emotional holy period.

Very nice work. The cubes on the heads are almost as strange as the pony-tail things. A curious people indeed!

Hey, Danny ! Don't worry! All images are GREAT! And what you are calling as "difficulties in editing this gallery"... etc., just underlining the fact that not only to serve GOD in name of ALL humanity isn't easy job, but also to show it for out-standers not easy work...
