Danny, as I understand it, observant Jews in the ashkanazi community view ratios as defiling of the body. I know the Ethiopian community was cut off for centuries. In this photo of the woman w a sort of sun on her forehead and apparent necklaces so am I to assume this is one of the traditions that did not reach this isolated community. Thank you, Debera
