This is the first '55 Mercury Station wagon I have ever seen in print from the rear as a picture, and I have never seen any in the thousands and thousands of cars I have seen at car shows throughout the mid west. The reason I know I have never seen any is because typically those tail lights have been removed and sold to people like me for their '56 Fords of all styles. It is finally nice to see the actual car that these were removed from. It is amazing why Ford did not put them on the '56 Fairlanes and Thunderbirds, but then mine a few hundred others would not look so neat.
