Nice catch. Seems like we get most of our sparrow shots on the ground. The song sparrows I've seen are grayer than this one, are you sure of the ID? I managed to get some shots yesterday of some yellow throated sparrows -- mostly the females. And this one looks a lot like the female I captured. I'm pretty sure of my own ID because they were in pairs with the males, which are much easier to ID. I will upload it here later.
