Coming right at you. Above center is a Red Knot already showing some of its red color while the bird it seems to be walking toward is still mostly in Winter plumage. I found these birds on Sand Island while scoping Sand Island from the base of the Public Fishing Pier on Dauphin Island. For a mere $2 I walked to the end of the pier and took this photo.
