Parts Needed

I have used all 1/2 inch CPVC pipe and fitting on the whole project. The sizes here will make a nice desktop Light Box, you can make it any size you want or need. Just remember you will need 2 pices the same size for the width and 2 of the same size for the depth. The 4 legs will all be the same. I did not use the cleaner on the pipe before I glued it, I just don't plan on running any water thought it so I see no need for it. The glue holds just fine without it.

Olympus C-2100UZ
1/3s f/8.0 at 9.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Inspiring. For those who can't afford overpriced pro stuff, or just want to do things by themselves.

I was given three way elbows instead of tee's by accident (and didn't notice). I thought it might not be stable enough, but I put it together and it works fine.

Anyone come up with a good light-stand design using PVC?

Very nice basic setup, Bill. Great job putting this (and many of your other DIY) learning galleries together! I'm sure they've helped a lot of people and will continue to do so for a long time.

Just a small alteration to the plan - I added a screw socket to the bottom of the legs so that the feet could be moderately adjusted for slightly uneven surfaces (or a b ad glue job ;) )

So instead of regular caps, threaded caps with the addition of inserts into the legs with threading. Cap is like a nut and insert is like a bolt. Adds about $1 CDN to the cost.
