Richmond Main Colliery, south of Kurri NSW. These dilapidated towers stand testimony to the jewel in the J&A Brown Colliery network. The mine produced electricity for its operations and these towers returned condensed water back to the holding pond. The mine was once the highest daily producer of coal in NSW. It closed in 1967. It is currently the site of the Richmond Vale Railway Museum.
A detailed history of the colliery can be found here.
