Peabody Library, Baltimore

The Peabody Library was originally part of the Peabody Institute, funded by George Peabody, who had prospered in commerce in Baltimore, and dedicated to the people of Baltimore for their kindness and hospitality. The library was designed by Edward G. Lind and completed in 1878. It is now part of Johns Hopkins University.
