A FREEZING day at the beach!

The weather this night was perfect.

This is not a lake. It's the Delaware Bay, in Lewes. How pretty is this? Our view from the Lewes-Cape May Ferry. It was a bit difficult getting this shot. For me, anyway, as the ferry was really moving very quickly in one direction and the sail boat in another.
It went away too quickly. It looks like a dream. It felt like a dream (scary music pipes in). It ain't easy taking a photo of a boat from a boat. We were going about 16 knots in one direction, and the sailboat wasn't going much slower in the opposite direction.
Sunset on the Avon, NC Pier. I just COULDN'T CROP OUT THE MOON!!
Avon, NC In The Evening
Just before the sunset. This is exactly how it looked. Out of the camera except for some cropping and drop shadow frame effect. This is one of the most beautiful, beaches I have ever seen. Taken from the pier on a positively perfect, cool summer night.
This photo was taken in total darkness. I can't even believe it came out at all. Thank goodness for the focus assist on the Oly, because I couldn't see a THING through the EVF. They threw her back. The pier was so high up from the water that I worried the fall back in would kill her, but the fishermen just laughed at me when I voiced THAT concern. Who says the C-2100 is lousy in night shots, lol? I have no idea what the flaming smear is on the kid's shorts... we were all kind of excited. I just wanted everyone to see the shark!
