There is an interesting story about the creation of this paint scheme. In 1973 the fighter squad 11 (tiger squad) was not allowed to join the NATO tiger meet. Because of the neutrality politics of Switzerland.
In protest the crew spent the whole night in the hangar to paint the tiger scheme. The next morning Switzerland's first military aircraft with special paint scheme emerged out of the dark hangar. The Tiger Hunter was only allowed to do two flights that day and the next day the paint scheme had to be removed. The crew almost had to go to military court for their wonderful work.
Excellent photo! V
