The last half of the trail ascends through a section of old growth forest before ending near the summit of Chimney Tops. The only problem is to get the views, you have to scramble up this narrow section of rock as these 2 folks are doing. Another side trail that apparently leads to some views was closed, so we couldn't check that out.
