I really wish Gatlinburg weren't right next to the Smokies - 5 to 10 miles away would have been much better. This week end found me heading that way to meet Hal and Harry at Hal's wife's brother's place on the east side of Gatlinburg. Friday was kind of rainy, but it was beginning to slack off by the time we met at around 2PM. I was hoping to visit some Smokies waterfalls I hadn't seen before so we decided to try Cataract Falls which is very close to the Sugarlands visitor center. This one would be crawling with tourists on a normal day, but the rain keeps a lot of them inside. There were a few, but we managed to scare them off while we took pictures.
