The trail down to this view is very tricky, but it's to only view you can get from this side of the river. In normal water flow I'm guessing the water would completely cover the rock. Showing some of the rock formation adds a little character to the falls. If you get the Chattooga River Map, you can see a wide range of possibilities of hikes in this area that can include overnight camping along the river.
