Next stop on the tour was Mount Mitchell State Park. There was a lot of peak and near peak color along Hwy 128 about half way up to the summit. Then it turned past peak, but the dominant color up here is from the evergreens. The tower STILL isn't done at the summit - a guy told me 4 weeks. Views from the parking area were nice today. I could see for miles and miles. This shows peak color coming down the mountains.
