The ubiquitous crane has become the symbol of Beijing, and perhaps all of China as well. You abstract them beautifully against the clouds, which seem to explode into space just as the cranes do. This image is all about energy and thrust, truly a manifestation of what Beijing feels like today. Sometimes a bus window makes a perfect vantage point. Here is my crane shot made a few months ago from my Beijing hotel window at dawn:

I like how you've placed the two foreground cranes - they look like a conductor leading the orchestra behind, something that I think is enhanced by the b&w.
