Mozart loves whistling, especially to the lady birds. After a while we couldn't help but put him in a cage with one lovely one by the name of Lady Bird. Luckily for us they are infertile, so we don't have to worry about raising more cockatiels!

The first known name for this bird was Abbey. But when his gender was discovered by one of the previous people who had him, he was renamed Mozart, or Mo, for short.

But once he came to us the name Mo was mostly dropped because my nickname is also Mo. (Our dog, Putnam, also answers to 'Mo' because he thought it was his name too!)

Mozart is also the most musical of all our cockatiels, with the most interesting song. So his name is a good one.
