Today I tested a cheap mylar sun filter from B&H in preparation for the solar eclipse! The filter works, but the housing is a ridiculously designed piece of cardboard, and I had to hold it to the lens with a rubber band. I just didn't want to pay over $100 for a more proper filter for use so infrequently.
