These musicians were playing Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez. This was composed as late as 1939, but sounds much more romantic and older than that date would indicate. Some of the more interesting aspects of this mostly uplifting and thoroughly wonderful piece of music are that it was Rodrigo's first piece of work for guitar and orchestra, was written under difficult circumstances, and also that he was a blind pianist who didn't even play the guitar! Despite all these facts this piece is probably Rodrigo's best known piece, and also one of the best known pieces (if not simply the best known piece) ever written for guitar and orchestra.

The piece was also not composed in Aranjuez, or in Spain at all, but in Paris.
