I'll always rember this insane late takeoff Sadler made on a big left of the North side of the breakwater in the mid 70's. Big, meaty lip, already throwing, one stroke takeoff, muscled a turn somehow with his sway back stance...calm look on his face the whole time.

Dan's the Man. Always has been and always will be...
I was trying to emulate Dan. Everybody tried to be like Dan. He is the Surfer of surfers.
Always Tanned, Dan Tanna he became. He injured his shoulder and had to retire surfing...
His fine and working. Took the removal of the pavillion hard. And many did.
Change is a constant. Adjusting to it helps make us successful.
Sadler?... I assumed he still lived with his parents and using that as an excuse to avoid 'romantic attachments'.....Did some female finally land him? That would be like "Islands in the Stream" ( please excuse the obscure Hemingway reference....well actually a reference to the movie)
I was saving these two pix for a rainy day, but since Iz seems to be collecting a fan club these days I suppose I might as well give a boost to his momentum...
