Mid-morning tea break while on walking safari..

Safari Kuyenda Camp Zambia Africa

After a few hours walking, we would stop in the shade of a stand of trees and have juice or tea and cookies. Lara, Michael, and Jim are seated. You cannot see Phil Berry, but he's there at the end of the log. Mana had picked up about ten marula friut and stuffed them in her pockets. Here she's showing them off and we're all laughing at sheer number of them. Her plan was to make gifts of them.
Elephants are very fond of the marula fruit. They only digest the outer skin, but the inner fruit turns white. Phil calls the "processed" marula fruit vegatable ivory and has a carved "processed" marula fruit atop his walking staff.
