Home made wooden boats. Swiss navy shipyard

One of my many joy in life is to build simple
wooden/plywood row boats. Often they start as one type
and end up being modified into something else. One example
is the Kayak thats now a car topable "house boat" for a man
and his dog.
How many boats does a man needs..........?........who knows....

Great work, looks like a good hobby to have if you're around water. What type of finish do you use on these? With so many of the new types I'd think they'd be well preserved, and very durable. Thanks!
