25/5 Big bug in the shoemakers garden

Found this wonderful, huge, bug when I was shooting flowers.
It had problems taking off from the fence where it was sitting due to the strong wind,
so I lifted it up into a appletree.
Here itīs getting ready for take off.
Didnīt have my macrolens because of the wind, shame...
Big and hairy, maybe 2,5-3 cmīs long.
And buzzing loud!
Itīs a Forest Cockchafer, "Maybug"
lat. Melolontha hippocastani
And itīs a male, they have 7 leaves on their antennas, females have only six.

Fantastic picture, this first one. I think I even like it better than when you would have had a macrolens! I like this peekaboo effect from the maybug a lot. The spreaded antennas make it vivid! V
