Lockport, Manitoba is the site of a dam and locks on the Red River. It has some of the best Manitoba fishing right up to the churning waters here for such fish as goldeye, sauger, whitefish, carp, channel catfish, and bass (drum). Pelicans love the food source here and they enjoy preening themselves and basking in the sun along the shallows and pebbly shoreline.
