Cinnamon Black Bear

Waterton Lakes National Park

I was out along the Red Rock Canyon Parkway taking pictures early Sunday morning and a car stopped and an off-duty park employee said a 'Cinnamon' Black Bear was coming along the road and I should stay alert. I kept shooting and looking over my shoulder and when I saw it coming along the road I got into my van and took a few shots as it walked right past me without any notice of me. Needless to say it was quite an experience as I had seen a 'Black' Black Bear about 30 minutes earlier in the area.

Red Rock Canyon is one of my favorite places for easy "bear watching"! Cool catch! Wish I'd been there with you. Isn't Waterton wonderful? Beautiful scenery and bears.

Seems to has lost all fear and that usually isn't too good. Very fine shot Gary.

Nice capture Gary. Hey could you put a tourist next to him so I can see scale. Haha.
