- 5th March 2005 - Candles

I was out voted!!! In slight desparation and after a couple of glasses of red wine (seems to be a requirement before taking late night PaDs.... ) I tackled the candles sitting on the grate.

I wanted to post this one....

but was told it was rubbish, and both Denise and Helen wanted the one posted... so what do I know :)

Great shot. All dark except for the flames. I bet you even shot it handheld after that wine steadied you. :)

You were right to listen to them. This is nice.

Ladies...were right... great capture.
Karen Leaf06-Mar-2005 04:24
Always listen to the ladies, Ian. It keeps you out of big trouble. And they were right, on this one.

I really like the dark dark composition, candles setting the contrast
Sam Stevenson06-Mar-2005 02:35
I have to agree with them on this one.

Yep, the girls are right :)
Gail Davison05-Mar-2005 23:47
I agree with Denise and Helen (way to go Helen). But they are all nice.
Guest 05-Mar-2005 23:37
Would have went thing the one that had the three lights on the wall - if the candle was in focus. But I like them all - the colour is spot on.
Guest 05-Mar-2005 23:32
I think they were right!!
David Clunas05-Mar-2005 22:56
Mmmm, prefer the colour of yours but the focus of the others - on the fence :)
Guest 05-Mar-2005 22:56
I like the one you've chosen as pad best,
Ric Yates05-Mar-2005 22:48
Yep, prefer the PAD choice! :-)
Sheena Woodhead05-Mar-2005 22:46
Mmm, I agree with Denise and Helen too, this one has warmer tones than your choice - sorry!
Leo Charette05-Mar-2005 22:37

John Finlayson05-Mar-2005 22:19

I love how it almost appears as if there was only the candle light and no base to them. Very nice composition here.
