- 6th Jan 2005 - Morning Tree

Yep we do have mornings in Chester. We also have lots of wonderful/strange trees all within easy walking of the house. Lookout for a series of trees sometime soon :) Taken after on the way back dropping the kids at school - still getting used to people staring as they whiz by whilst the camera is in action... The sun soon disappeared and grey skies returned!

I hadn't even noticed it until I got it onto the laptop! Beginners!

Ver nice sunrise and a dramatic tree. Had some thoughts about the power pylon in the background. It's a little distrubing right behind the tree. If you've gone a few steps to the side(if possible) so it came in the left part of the picture it would make a nice balance to the tree. Straight and technological pylon compared to wind beaten old tree. Keep on shooting and posting. Regards Mark

Wonderful image! Great silhouette of the tree against the sun!

Actually not so cold, but it's in the open and I guess the years of wind do their bit. You'd enjoy many of the trees around here - alot of very twisted stunted oaks... I'll post some over the next few weeks. Interesting I took a few this morning of the same tree - I've posted one taken seconds earlier, but with less foreground. Looks much warmer!

It looks very cold and bent against the wind.

It didn't last long! Actually one of the more boring trees.... but I didn't have time to stray far from the car :)

Hmm I saw a very brief sunrise this morning but nothing worth photographing! This is very nice, love the tree!
