By using 1/400th of a second shutter speed, you freeze the water in an incongruous shape that seems to attract the attention of the bird. The only flaw is the lower edge, which crops into the pattern. Frame a bit looser here, and allow negative space to work between the end of the water flow (if there was one) and the edge of the picture. It could generate more tension that way.
