I am a student at Maimi Lakes K-8 Center, and i think it was extreamly wrong what they did, i thought about going to complane to the principle, but i was talked out of it. Later the school planted baby trees, but the students think that it is hilarous to hurt the trees, write on them, etc. I think something should be done to helo support our delicate, Miami Lakes Ecosystem.

Thank you for the tipoff. I'll try to get down there and look around and take a bunch of photos! Treeman

I am amazed at the lack of concern that can be found in the northwestern part of the county. Yes, Miami Dade county in general is devoid of trees and greenery, but somehow it seems that the further north you go, the lack of greenery there is. What really shocked me was the horrible trimming that took place in Virginia gardens recently. Treeman should come here and take pics of this horrile destruction that took place.

To all who did all of this damage, you should be completely ashamed of yourselves. There is such a thing as conservation and responsible tree management. I may not know how to do it, but there are people who do and you should use them!! This is God's planet and we humans are the ones responsible NOW, not later, to conserve it's beauty for our grandkid's kids. I used to live in Miami Lakes and grew up there till I went off to college, and these pictures have shocked, angered and sickened me. It's disheartening to know people aren't reprimanded and fined extensively for their cruelty, not to mention law-breaking. We can't and shouldn't abuse animals, so we shouldn't be able to abuse nature in any way. This is complete abuse. If you don't believe plants live off of us as we live off of them, I've got 6 houseplants for you to see. What a horrible, horrible shame. I am no longer proud to say I grew up in this tree-butchering, so-called "town" which obviously can't keep it's residents in line, even with just the matter of tree management!!!!
