Midas Touch

This one's for you Massachusetts! THANK YOU for giving the United States a second chance!!!!

This recipe is the actual oldest-known fermented beverage in the world!
University of Pennsylvania archaeologists excavated what is quite possibly the tomb of the real King Midas at Gordion in central Turkey.
The secrets of the 2700 year old beverage were unlocked by a Molecular Archaeologist at the Penn Museum, who analyzed residues of barley, honey, grapes and saffron from the largest Iron Age drinking vessel ever found.

It's a good job I get tipsy on the first pint - you could die of thirst waiting 2,700 years for the next one :o)
