Mount St. Helens -- about half the distance to Mount Rainier, I suppose, hence the better clarity. From this view, south and somewhat east of the mountain, we are almost opposite of the mouth of the crater, giving this view a more, shall we say, benevolent look than the view that I normally travel to (see my St. Helens shoots for a good view of the crater and the eruption's devastation)
