UK: Bamburgh Castle, Northumbria

Built in 1050 AD, the castle has been completely restored by Lord Armstrong, the current owner. It sits on the edge of the sea north of York and is an absolute 'must' if you're in the area.

thanks for your comments on my pictures. i have thourghly enjoyed looking through yours although i would have to say that i need your luck with the weather. virtually all blue Skies.

These and other galeries are excellent shots of the North of England and Scotland.

i particularly like this gallery as i spend a lot of time on the Northumbrian coast and this has reminded me of what a superb castle Bamburgh is.
