The man lying down is Jerome Jefferson with a wound above the eye. The man kneeling is Lt. Gerald Waltman who was wounded on the left side of his face. I was wounded in left forearm. We were all wounded by the same B-40 rocket that cut Major Eugene Connor in half and removed the left arm of an unknown E-7. These photos were in Time Magazine and taken as we exited the alley. Waltman and I were the lead vehicle in that ambush which was my jeep followed by a 2 1/2 ton truck and then a gun jeep. John R. Van Wagner jpvanw@centurylink.net

This photo, like the other photo of the wounded MP, was taken at BOQ #3 on Vo Tanh, just south of the Tan Son Nhut Airbase; not at the US Embassy. The wounded MP was on the alert force from Co C, 716th MP Bn. that was ambushed in the alley next to BOQ #3. I was a member of Co C but was not on the alert team.
